I lived in Florida my entire life, moving to Maryland 12 years ago. After serving as the Medical Illustrator for the U. of Miami, School of Medicine for 6 years I spent the next 30 years as an art teacher with Dade County Public Schools. I have been involved in many forms of art with a concentration in painting and later in metals. My work was shown and sold in South Florida. I am now metalsmithing and painting in Maryland. I have often incorporated my knowledge of human anatomy in both my paintings and metalwork. I try to let the medium I am working with lead me in my effort to create a piece. I was a member in The Waverly Street Gallery for six years. I am now a member of the Foundry Gallery in Washington, DC. I have a BFA in Fine Art and an MS in Education.
